Here's what to expect this week -
Monday & Tuesday -
Year-end assessments - 5th and 6th graders are finishing their final writing project, a persuasive essay about ancient Greek influence on modern society.
Also, end of year math assessments and DRAs (reading assessment.)
For Theme, we'll be making paper mache Greek vases and hold a Socratic Seminar with a reading called What Students Really Need to Hear.
Wednesday -
Alder East and West plan to spend most of the morning outside working on our playspace project - pathways, pond and mural.
This means - dress accordingly - dirt, paint, mess.
Thursday -
Field day - rain or shine. Right now there is a chance of rain, so some activities might get moved in side.
Friday -
Cleanup day. Last Day!
Just a reminder that the end of the school year is exciting for most, but for some of our kids it can be a tough transition. As teachers and parents, lets try to support our kids and be sensitive to their emotional well-being.
